Is Cannabis Legal in Berlin?
Germany has enacted a limited/partial legalisation for adults under the Cannabisgesetz. However, there is no general network of recreational dispensaries open to tourists.
Acquisition is restricted to private cultivation or membership in heavily regulated, non-commercial cultivation associations.
Possession Limits
Max 25g outside your home. Max 50g at your primary residence or usual place of stay.
Private Cultivation
Up to 3 plants per eligible adult for private use only. Selling or sharing is forbidden.
No Commercial Sales
Ordinary commercial trade, tourist shops, and street vending remain illegal.
Cultivation Associations
Require 6-month residency in Germany. Tourists cannot join.
